Between Tours and Chinon, at the heart of the Loire valley in Avon-les-Roches, this comfortable holiday apartment of 54 m² is located on the first floor of a beautiful house typical for the Touraine region and dating back to the 19th century. The walls are made of tufa stone and the roof of flat tiles.
This house with character has been decorated with care and in a modern style by Jeanne-Marie, a photographer and graphic designer. She aimed to make comfort and the charms of old stones live together.
The place is close to the castles of Chinon, Azay-le-Rideau, Ussé, Villandry ... the vineyards and state forest of Chinon, the Vienne riverbanks and the small village of Crissay-sur-Manse, listed among the “Plus Beaux villages de France” (most beautiful villages of France).
Nestled in the heart of a small valley, the house is very bucolic. And the village is packed with history: you will find a church dating back to the 12th century, majestic remains of the Renaissance collegiate church Roches Tranchelion, 9 wash houses and many other heritage spots there.
Jeanne-Marie is dynamic and generous. She knows the area perfectly well and loves to share her best plans. She is a Park ambassador and regularly trains to enlarge her knowledge of heritage preservation.
