It is in the small village of Corné, at the heart of the gentle Anjou and close to the Loire riverside where Isabelle, the basket maker, gives you a warm welcome.
She weaves the wicker twigs and creates a whole lot of different osier objects in her workshop “Saules et Cie”. Her creations can be functional or decoration, for indoor or outdoor usage, and can also be woven tailor-made. She also works with living wicker and creates lasting plant structures such as hedges and cabins for example.
She loves to share her passion for osier with the participants of the many workshops she organises for beginners.
And if you are looking for a special and welcoming place to stay: her charming house built with tufa and slate stone has two beautiful guest rooms. That’s just perfect!
The garden of this house dating back to the 19th century invites to slow down and relax. And by the way, you will be delighted to gaze at some plant structures woven by your host.
